Job Description:

  1. Understand Protei products and build knowledge for optimal deployments.
  2. Learn standard deployment methodologies and practices and apply them to assigned projects.
  3. Timely escalation of issues that are blocking or long-pending to the Technical Delivery Manager.
  4. Provide product and technical feedback to the Technical Director for improvements.
  5. Work towards completing projects according to schedule and quality standards.
  6. Build High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), and implementation guides as per templates.
  7. Participate in system audits and make necessary corrections.
  8. Participate in post-implementation audits and make necessary corrections.
  9. Willingness to travel on short notice, with travel times depending on project requirements.

 

Desired Profile:

  1. Knowledge and experience in deployment methodologies.
  2. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Customer interface, analysis, and troubleshooting skills.
  4. Previous experience in professional services as a Solutions Engineer. Knowledge of virtualization environments is an advantage. Proficient with significant working experience in application implementation in Linux environments.
  5. Proficient in SQL queries/constructs, with skills in Linux installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  6. Communicate overall project status to internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Identify and mitigate risks and critical path items.
  8. Responsible for deploying multiple projects and ensuring timely delivery and quality as expected by customers.

 

Technical Skills:

  1. Knowledge of GSM, LTE, IMS, VoLTE and 5G call flows and specifications
  2. Knowledge of protocols and standards such as SS7, SIP, DIAMETER, and GTP.
  3. In-depth understanding of UNIX/Linux scripting (e.g., sh, ksh, Perl).
  4. Experience with databases (e.g., Oracle, pgSQL, MariaDB).
  5. Understanding of containerization technologies.
  6. Experience with Virtual Network Functions (VNF) is a plus.

This role involves deploying and configuring telecom systems, providing technical support, and delivering training to clients. It’s an excellent opportunity for individuals who excel at problem-solving, thrive in dynamic environments, and are eager to work with cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities
You will serve as the primary technical contact for customers, managing and resolving cases efficiently while ensuring satisfaction. Your tasks will include troubleshooting and replicating issues, installing and configuring solutions on-site or remotely, conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and providing training. Traveling to client sites for installations and support will also be part of the role. Additionally, you’ll maintain thorough documentation and assist with updates and patches.

Requirements
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering, IT, or a related field.

Strong expertise in Linux systems, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM), and container platforms (e.g., Docker) is highly valued. Familiarity with telecom protocols like SIP or SS7 is a plus. We also prioritize excellent English communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to multitask effectively.
